A reliable, proven process:

1. Material is fed into a thin gap between two parallel planar electrodes.
2. The materials acquire opposite charges through interparticle contact.
3. Charged particles are attracted to the electrode plate of opposite charge.
4. A high-speed open-mesh belt moves differently charged particles toward opposite ends of the separator.
